Introduction
Welcome to the AdvancingAda project website!
The AdvancingAda Comprehensive Plan is a long-range strategic roadmap designed to guide the City Council and Planning Commission through clearly defined goals, objectives, and policies. This plan serves as our community’s primary blueprint, informing critical decision-making and setting the standard for sustainable growth and revitalization over the next decade and beyond.
As a vital next step in this initiative, the City will develop a new Unified Development Code (UDC) - the specific standards and requirements that govern how our community is built. By integrating the Comprehensive Plan with the UDC, we ensure that our long-term vision is backed by clear, consistent, and enforceable regulations. This alignment allows our community to more effectively manage land use, streamline the development process, and protect the unique character of our neighborhoods.
